Rocketship Education Is Dedicated To Their Students’ Success In All Aspects of Life

There is no doubt that there is an educational gap. It definitely exists. Some students are at a disadvantage because of the environment they grew up in. Fortunately, Rocketship Education has a solution to this educational gap.

Rocketship Education finds a way to help out students in their time of need. For example, they have an emergency fund that they will use when parents and children suffer from natural disasters. Rocketship Education set up one such fund when the family of a student who emigrated from Mexico had their home ruined when a creek overflowed and flooded their home. This just shows that everything can change in one day. You do not know what will happen to you. That is why it is good to have a friend like Rocketship Education who will be there to help you out. In addition, they will change the way the structure has been set up for students so that they can continue to advance in their educational path and eventually attend college or university.

When the flood happened, Rocketship Education immediately jumped to the task. They knew that the parents needed shelter, food, clothing, and other supplies. They partnered with Catholic Charities so that they could get supplies to those families. In the end, they raised sixty two thousand dollars. They were able to give the kids new and warm clothing so that they could continue focusing on their studies. They were able to help thirty families who had kids in the Rocketship Education network. That is the beauty of Rocketship Education. One of the mothers said that she would never have thought that her kid’s school would be the one who would provide help. She says that without their help, she would not have food to eat or a place to live.

Rocketship Public Schools has twenty schools in three states and Washington, DC. They believe in the power of the individual.

Rocketship Education’s mission is to transform education in low income communities. They believe that every student has untapped potential.
